The apricot is a fruit rich in minerals, especially potassium and beta-carotene.
They contain a high content of antioxidants, in particular of beta-carotene, which is fundamental to obstruct the oxidation of LDL cholesterol (the bad cholesterol) preventing the formation of atherosclerotic plaques and, consequently, protecting the health of the heart. Not least it stimulates the production of melanin, a substance that is responsible for the tan that protects the skin from sunlight.
Vitamin C, Vitamin E, Lutein, Zeaxanthin are all antioxidants contained in apricots that reduce the amount of free radicals preventing skin aging, and protecting eyesight.
The Tenute Caracci take care of the cultivation of 3 different varieties of apricot:
The Mogador (very early variety, harvesting takes place during the first 15 days of May),
the Flopria (also early but has a very large size: between AA and AAA),
the Orange Prima (medium ripening variety, harvesting takes place in June with large pieces and an excellent balance between acidity, sweetness and aromas).
